Sunday School
The four keys are Love, Learn, Reach, and Serve. Below is a brief description of each key element.
Love – Jesus said in John 13:34-35, “A new command I give to you: love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” It is Christian love that will make our groups distinct. Each group will become the primary expression of the church family for its members.
Learn – Jesus said in Matthew 11:29, “Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” Learning about Christ and His will for our lives is a large part of Sunday School life.
Reach – Jesus said, “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you and you will be my witnesses…”. (Acts 1:8) Each group will set and pursue the goal to reach out to others and draw them into two meaningful relationships. The first relationship is their connection to God through Jesus Christ. The second is their connection to other believers in spiritual community
Serve – James says, “Faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.” (James 2:17) Service and good works are part of any vibrant and healthy Christian. They are also a key aspect of group life. Each group will encourage its members to be involved in meaningful service to the Body and the community.
