Youth Pastor…

It has been my privilege to serve as a youth pastor for the past 30 years. I was born and raised in the West Palm Beach area and graduated from the University of Florida. My faith was greatly impacted and shaped during my college days in Gainesville. It was during this time period that God called me into full time Christian service. I went to Southern Seminary in Louisville, Ky, where I saw snow for the first time and met my future wife, Lisa.

When I’m not with the youth, you can usually find me somewhere outside running, biking, rollerblading or at the beach. I love watching and playing sports and came to know the Lord through a missionary using sports as a vehicle to reach young people for Christ.

My passion is to reach out to young people from different backgrounds and walks of life with the gospel and challenge them to mature in their faith and to live as one body in the community of faith!

Minister of Music and Senior Adults…

The Lord came into my life as my Savior at the age of nine and I grew up in the church as my parents were very strong and active in church ministry. As a junior in high school, I surrendered to full time Christian ministry at a Billy Graham crusade. I received a bachelor’s degree in music from Jacksonville University and then completed my master’s degree in church music from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. I have served churches in both Texas and Florida as a worship pastor and have been privileged and blessed to be at First Baptist Church of Lake Park for twenty-one years.

My family is very special to me as I have two adult children, Charity and Peyton and one teenage daughter, Ashton still at home and also four grand-children. My wife, Karyn went home to be with the Lord over eight years ago and God certainly has blessed our family with His guidance, comfort and peace. Our church family ministered to us in incredible ways through those challenging times.

Passionate about: Leading worship, many styles of music, ministry.

Enjoy: Gator football, golf, tennis, snow skiing and bowling.

Senior Pastor…

Follower of Jesus, husband to Melissa, dad to Lindsey, Erin, Caleb and Rebekah. Those are the three “biggies” in my life. I am learning to judge success by how well I am doing in these areas. Next in line so to speak is Shepherd to the flock. It is an awesome and humbling privilege to be called to lead God’s people. After 20 plus years of pastoral ministry, I am still learning to work and lead by purpose.
